    “Skitaca is a small rural village in the middle of Istria, quiet beaches, Pula/Rovinj and other sites are typically 20-25 km away. A small supermarket and local restaurant at 2km. Towns with larger supermarkets (e.g. Lidl) at 15 km.”

    “Skitaca ist ein wirklich kleines, sehr ruhiges Örtchen auf ca. 425 m Meereshöhe. Es besteht aus vielleicht insgesamt 15 Häusern/ Häuschen, von denen nur 2 permanent bewohnt sind, der Rest sind wenige Häuser als Ferienhäuser genutzt und etliche Häuser im "Dornröschenschlaf". Es gibt kaum Verkehr. Die Umgebung ist naturbelassene Maccia mit z.B. Schmetterlingen, die man im deutschsprachigen Raum nicht mehr sieht. Im Örtchen selbst gibt es keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten oder Gaststätten. In ca. 4-5 km Entfernung gibt es 2/3 Minimarkets und 2/3 Gaststätten, in welchen man sehr gut und preiswert essen kann. "Unbegrenzte" Einkaufsmöglichkeiten/ Restaurants gibt es in Labin ca. 15 km/25 min. Die Gegend ist wohl die unberührteste Ecke in Istrien. Bademöglichkeiten gibt es in ca. 4-5 km Entfernung (sehr sauber). In ca. 4-5 km Entfernung ist ein Zementwerk an der Küste, von welchem man aber nur in unmittelbarer Nähe was sieht/ hört. Wir haben dies nicht als Nachteil empfunden; im Gegenteil dies hat wahrscheinlich verhindert, dass es dort Bettenburgen gibt.”
